If one's concept of business is ENRON style management, then business is antithetical to healing.

I had no training in how to be an entrepreneur or a manager. I was a highly trained technician. Then being thrust into a world of being the CEO, CFO and manager of a business was diconcerting.

My personal experience with becoming a businessman and healer is that when I had control of money I no longer found money to be the driving force of my working with my patients. The business srurcture for my practice is focused on Policy's and System's each of which start by describing how the P & S is a benefit to our patients, not how our patients are a benefit to my practice.

Having well structured systems to support personnel, finances are key to assisting our patients having a positve and wonderful experience in an otherwise terrifying exeperience.
