I too took my granddaughter on a tour of Washington Heights, we went to Julliard (a school she wishes to attend) and to NYU and the area surrounding it. NYU is the college she wishes to go to. She is currently 12 years old.

We went to the Metropolitan Museum, my favorite. I took her to all my favorite places in the Museum. This she enjoyed.

We saw the Dakota and Strawberry fields and being a real music fan, she knew who John Lennon was-this made ME happy.

What will she remember of our day in New York? Juliard, NYU, some of the Museum which she liked as much as I did. However, I felt somewhat sorry that she was not impressed with Washington Heights or my stories of growing up there.

We had lunch at Tavern in the Green. Loved the food but I could have gotten a hot dog on the corner and she would have been just as impressed.

My conclusoions were so similar to yours and although I read your Shalgbytes religiously this one was particularly familiar and coincidental I
