Oh, I did cry when I read your telling of the death of your mother...I cried for you and I cried for me. My mother is still alive and will turn 80 this year...we are also Jewish. But she never was a practicing Jew...just a Jew in name only. I grew up in a very abusive family...my father, who died four years ago, was physically, emotionally, verbally and sexually abusive to me...and mother just said "shhhhhhh, don't upset your father."....she never protect me. And now she says to me...I choose only to remember the good things about your father. Well I cannot do that...I am in therapy for all the abuse...and it has taken me years and years and I am still working on it...and I am 56 years old...I am grieving of my loss of "real" parents. You had a REAL Jewish Mother....one who kept the Sabbath...I am the religious one in my famly...we belong to a Reform congregation and do attend services...although not as regular as I would like.

Your words about your mother really touched me....you were blessed....I do extend my sympathy to you and your family. The pictures revealed such love and joy...how I wish for that.

thanks for listening....you are an inspiration...Vicki
