goodbye to ma[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Read More Messages in the Healing Cafe ] [ FAQ ] Posted by M perry (66.194.0.242) on 19:45:48 28/07/04 Your comment "Its ok if the rabbi doesn't know". reminded me of when we buried my father in law. According to Jewish law he should be buried in a shroud. The rabbi said he would not do the service if we put a suit on him. We knew Harold wanted to be dressed nicely heading out from here. He also wanted favorite foods and photos with him for the trip. At the viewing before the service we posted a look out to notify us and a seperate room to hold the rabbi so we could get the lid closed before the rabbi saw the coffin. So our family shares the sentiment that sometimes what the rabbi doesn't know is ok. Harold looked great and was accompanied by lots of loving momentos. We feel it was a win win.
