Dear Dr. H:

My thoughts are with you and your family. I have been dealing with my own recent loss and can definitely empathize. People say that "time heals all wounds" -- and it is OUR wounds, because those who have passed are beyond pain now... for me, however, it's like having a cut on a body part that you use all the time, and certain movements open it up unexpectedly, and you feel the pain all over again. But it surely does heal eventually, even though the scar remains, just as our memories, to keep our loved ones ever present in our hearts.

I know you have wonderful memories, and you've shared many of them with the rest of us. Thank you for sharing your mom!
