I met Carl at an oceanside outdoor conference dinner being held the night before he was to speak to a Maine Hospital Association gathering at the Samoset Resort in Maine. As fate would have us meet, I must relate to you that Carl is to me that cherished rare person who I so seek to encounter on my road through this life. A person who gave me hope that there may be others who are not afraid to open their hearts and shed that superficial stereotypical American nature toward others. Carl's Schlagbytes, especially the Healing Blessing, brought me tears of happiness for the goodness in life. Michael Landon impressed me with his TV programs in much the same way. How I miss the nature of spiritual goodness in much of the lifes everyday encounters and the media.
