In case Judy did not forward my condolences to you on the passing of Tante Hilda I would like to take this opportunity to pass them on to you.
I was extremely depressed that week anyway and decided to e mail Tante Hilda via Judy. Her unexpected news hit me like a ton of bricks.
I had just spoken to Rose (Tante Grete Rothschilds daugther) about your mother 2 days prior to Judy's forwarding me the news of her passing. She was just on my mind-don't know why-just a feeling in my bones.
So there are very few of that generation left. It makes me sad because we had just begun a dialog in which she sent my a letter which began, "My darling Marilyn". I don't get very many of those.
I close with a quote from my software vendor who sent me this on the loss of my son Jimmy: Joy shared is twice the joy. Sorrow shared is half the sorrow.
I would like you to know that I shared in the sorrow and perhaps through the space it takes to reach Phoenix my sorrow may have relieved YOUR sorror for just a few moments.
