Your observations and conclusions I share. The problem is many of our self-righteous voters are focusing on Gay marriage and abortion and family values. They believe the Republican Christian right have the moral authority to tell the rest of us what is right. The horrendous theft on the part of Halliburton of the American taxpayer goes on with little impact. The majority of those polled still believe the pre-emptive war in Iraq was morally justified despite the civilian casualties and the loss of young American lives who serve to honor and protect their country. Those of us who have lived long enough too long remember political lies in the past and believe that this war was motivated by greed and ideological beliefs. I despair that man will ever make peace when there is big profit to be made and others to persecute. The combination makes it even more compelling.
