The FDA is not protecting the public. It seems like every week another drug and its harmful effects make the news. People have to be able to sue if the agencies set up by the government won't protect them. The drug companies not only lobby in congress they heavily influence the doctors to prescribe medication that has not been tested enough. Drugs wouldn't cost so much if drug companies were not allowed to use lobbists and drug reps. Congress isn't thinking of the people first either.
