Having worked in Doctor's offices for 37 years I have seen a side of the Pharmaceutical Industry that, if I had the time, I would fight to end. That is, the come to the office with extremely expensive luncheons-one a week because the drug reps alternate and most of the food is thrown out for one reason or another. The worst experience I ever had was twice a drug rep took our office to the most expensive restaurant on the east side for Christmas/Hannuka luncheons. I sat next to the rep and peaked over his shoulder when he paid the bill. It came to $600. Then we have, in your case I'm sure, Indians who cannot afford paying for their potential life saving medication and where I live people our age or old on fixed incomes forgo their medications as prescribed i.e. once a day to one every other day or more because they cannot afford medication.

This was off your subject but it allowed me to ventilate my pet peeve. On your subject I believe it is both the physician and the drug company when the dispense medication that do not really inform patients of side effects. In some cases this is necessary but I began taking medications for depression over a period of years. Each on had life effecting side effects on me which the doctor's never told me about including one that was habit forming. If I had known it was habit forming I never, ever would have started taking it.

Do you know how we can get passed the lobbyist for the pharmaceutical firms to stop this process.
