Finnishing School[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Read More Messages in the Healing Cafe ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Lillian (142.161.24.82) on 08:31:39 26/04/04 As a clinical psychologist in private practice, I see many teachers on sick leave due to "stress" sometimes manifesting in such conditions as fibromyalgia, depression and panic disorder. Many complain about being over their heads when it comes to handling behavioural and conduct problems. They blame it on mainstreaming stating that they were never trained to deal with ADHD and the like. But to what extent is this so called "stress" a result of not feeling appreciated and respected.
