One thing I realized at some point in my daughter's early childhood was that I would learn as much from her as she learned from me, if I just paid attention. Children see the world in a different way, if we allow them the freedom to do so, and do not impose our world view on them.

We shut down their creativity and excitement about learning when we set limits on what they can do. You are very perceptive to have gotten it- and changed your mind about what you wanted them to learn.I wish everyone teaching our chidren understood that.
