I am a teacher in Arizona. I would love to be in a country where teachers are well respected. The Arizona teacher who went to court should not have had to hear vulgar language hurled at her in her classroom. I don't know if court action was the logical consequence. I wish the teacher had gone through the school discipline system first. At the end of her court appearance, when reporters questioned her, she told them to read about it in her book. I don't know if it's right to take a sad situation and profit from it. I think she took a classroom discipline problem and turned it into a court case/book deal--maybe good for her, but the path she chose to fix her work environment doesn't help the young man or his friends who remain in her room.
