Africa is the best. As Doris Lessing wrote 'to go to Africa is to risk living ever after as a hostage, yearning to return'. Something about being there just feels right, doesn't it? Richard Leakey thinks it is because deep down we recognise when we've returned to our place of origin. I've been 8 or 9 times, to safari, to volunteer, just to soak it all up.
