While I agree with most of what was written, I want to express my desire to hear stories of what is working in health care. My thoughts mostly center on health care that is being provide in rural areas and done so with great quality and compassion. Many of these facilities are receiving less reimbursement for their care, but still providing quality health care. I am associated with a health system in a community of 3000. The system operates 5 clinics, 4 that are located in smaller communities,one attached to our hospital, a care center and senior housing facility. We soon will begin construction on a new hospital made necessary because we have simply run out of space. We will not be abandoning our present facility when the new hospital is completed. We will expand it into additional services to seniors. We are staffed by 11 family practice physicians, 3 PA's and NP, with over 60 specialists comining in from larger facilites.
