I was moved to write my feelings on this story in as much to say just how so important it is for each of us to ensure we have it known what we want done if we are placed in the same type of situation.

Yes talk to your loved ones now. This is a very clear and important message you send.

About two weeks ago on one of our Current Affair programs there was story about a doctor who had even gone to the great length of having the words "Do Not Resuscitate" tattooed on his chest.

Perhaps not what each individual would have in mind but it was certainly this doctors way of making sure his wishes were known.

I guess what I found ever so disturbing is that your government stepped in to legislate when clearly this is a family subject and no one, but no one else has a right to interfere.

Where are we left if we allow anyone and everyone *make* us do something just because . . .

If governments continue to down this path I can only see dismay of our world and our rights.

Australian government is ever so *Legislation Happy* and now Australia stands out alone as being the most legislated of any democratic country. The State of Victoria alone takes first place as the one with the most legislation.

I hope all governments will make a decision to *step back* from those issues which clearly fall in the hands of family.
