I attended a program offered here (Phx) regarding end of life decision. While most medical POA's and living wills will outline what care should be rendered, in the presenters said that in the state of Arizona, feeding tubes must be specifically stated and outlined, and that "do not resuscitate" does not include the use of a feeding tube. Thank you for a most timely reminder of what we all should be thinking of, so that our children, spouses, parents, partners, friends and whomever else may want to interfer with our wishes, know our feelings and desires on theses issues.
