There was a case where a couple's child was born blind, retarded and had an arm missing. They begged the authorities to let the child die. What quallity of life did it or could it ever expect. The child was finally 'allowed' to die. The next were the elderly and those deemed unable to add to or contribute to society. The time: 1930's, The State: Nazi Germany.

We have an unbeleivable culture of death. Everyone looks at Terri and says "I wouldn't want to live that way". I guess we could have looked at Christopher Reeves and said the same.

My daughter has Downe's Syndrome. She is developmentally challenged. I am a volunteer coach for Special Olympics. She is a miracle child who was on life support for the first 12 days of her life. (Hospital Bill: $80,000 +) (Emotional challenge to my heart: >$80,000) The gifts she has brought to my family's life: PRICELESS!

Why do you choose a Culture of Death. I believe in Choice, but why do so many choose to embrace death?

Why not choose life.

Terri's parents begged her husband to let them care for her. I am happy to say I do NOT understand his motivations, other than the 2.5 million he made off of her malpractice suit, the new woman and two bastard children he has spawned.

He remembered that she 'would not want to live that way' 7 years after she was in this state.

I don't know Doctor S. But I am now beginning to believe that you would have passivley marched into the ovens in Poland. I am sorry, but I am sure you would not mind that I CHOOSE to fight for the life of my family.

When they come for my 'retarded' child, they will have to pry the gun from my cold dead hands. Oh, that's right, you don't believe in the private ownership of guns, either.

I love you Dr S, but I couldn't disagree with you more.
