It sounds to me that Ashcroft and the U.S. are trying to cover their butts. After 9/11, Bush told Ashcroft in no uncertain terms not to ever let it happen again. I believe Mr. Ashcroft took the warning seriously. They have some growing intelligence information that something may happen. So, yes, I also wonder why they haven't escalated the color coding. However, if they don't say anything and something does occur, people will wonder why they weren't warned. Unfortunately, although I think our government is trying hard to protect us, they can't likely know when and where someone could strike. Personally, whether they tell us or not, I pray that no terrorists will strike any of us and I will keep reaching out with love.
